Carolina Beach bursts with vibrant events, activities and things to do. The fun begins on the bustling historic boardwalk lined with pizza, donut and ice cream stands, and filled with miniature golf, batting cages, an arcade and more. Summer officially kicks off with the opening of our seaside amusement park, featuring rides like the Tilt-A-Whirl, Ferris wheel and Scrambler, to name a few.

Water sports and outdoor activities are king here. Carolina Beach boasts some of the East Coast's best fishing. Take the family paddleboating on Carolina Beach Lake Park or for a ride on a Surrey bike that can hold a family of four. Go bird-watching or catch a glimpse of the rare Venus Flytrap at the Carolina Beach State Park. For more things to do just minutes away, check out nearby Kure Beach, located just south of Carolina Beach on the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Explore the outdoor treasures of Kure Beach. Walk the trail encircling the Fort Fisher State Historic Site. Drop by the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher to visit with all kinds of marine critters. From sand castles to surfing, Kure Beach has plenty of additional things to do on land, sea, and air.
