Wilmington, NC is centrally located on the East Coast, midway between New York and Florida. The major east/west interstate transportation artery I-40 leads to Wilmington, which is also served by U.S. highways 17,74,/76, 117 and 421.

Downtown Parking Information
The City Wilmington has 800+ metered spaces downtown, 3 parking decks and 2 surface lots. Park smart! Park with us. Deck parking is FREE the first 60 minutes you park. You can park FREE of charge at on-street meters after 6:30 PM daily and all day Sunday. Parking in metered spaces is $1.00 per hour and is enforced Monday-Saturday, 9:00am – 6:30pm. Click here for the location/fees for the city’s three parking decks and two surface lots. There are a number of privately owned and operated surface lots in the downtown area that are open to the public. The City does not manage any of these lots. Metered on-street parking for those with properly displayed, valid handicapped placards is FREE of charge in Historic Downtown.

Each of our beaches are Certified USLA Lifeguard Agencies, meaning lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
