Carolina Beach is easily accessible by car, bus, plane or boat. You'll find it's easy to get to and easily navigable once you're here.
Carolina Beach is located 14 miles from Wilmington, which is centrally located on the East Coast, midway between New York and Florida. The major east/west interstate artery I-40 leads to Wilmington, which is also served by U.S. highways 17,74,76, 117 and 421. Follow I-40 Eastbound to US-117 S/N College Road. Continue onto south College Road to US-421 south Carolina Beach Road.
Once on the island, you will find Carolina Beach has metered parking spaces as well as parking lots that offer pay-by-phone parking through the ParkMobile app. Parking lots also have pay stations that accept cash. Lanier Parking is responsible for ticket issuance, ticket payments, appeals, as well as, meter collection and maintenance. Parking is enforced beginning March1st continuing through October 31st. During this time paid parking is in effect from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. seven days a week. Parking for more than 24 hours at a time is not permitted. All parking spaces designated "Handicap" spaces are free as along as the vehicle is displaying a handicap parking placard. For parking services, call Lanier Parking at 910-458-4614.
