Family fun awaits during the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II. Explore Fort Fisher’s role as a Training facility during World War II. Military and civilian re-enactors will set up displays on the old Fort Fisher airstrip, and be available to discuss historic weapons, the life of the male and female soldiers, as well as family life on the homefront. Other special activities include jeep rides in an authentic 1942 Willys jeep (small donation requested). The program is free and open to the public.
