Serena Wiley (tenor saxophone/flute/vocals) returns to the series with new and continuing members of The Light Under the Sun: Theous Tyrell Jones (drums), Shavon Russell Jones (Vocals), Joe McPhail (Piano) and Ittai Korman (Bass) a combined group of emerging young artists who expressively create a great synergy of unique and lively Jazz, Hip Hop, and Rhythm and Blues. Serena, an accomplished saxophonist, played with many high profile artists including Branford Marsalis, Fred Wesley, Antonio Hart, Rene Marie, and Nnenna Freelon while getting her bachelor's and a master's degree at North Carolina Central University. In addition to playing sax across different genres in some of the Triangle area's hottest bands, she's also a poet who has been known to grace the stage with her voice as a singer and dynamic hostess.

This is part of the popular Jazz @ the Cam concert series offering a mixture of new and familiar musicians in a variety of combinations performing a range of jazz genres.  Please check their website for additional information about performing artists.
