Pirate Day at the Museum

  • "Aaarrghhhh, there be Pirates ahead!"  Come celebrate local pirate history with historian and former Director of the Queen Anne’s Revenge Shipwreck Project, Mark Wilde-Ramsing who will be here for a presentation of his new book “Blackbeard’s Sunken Treasure”-- that is also available for purchase. Local Artist, Virginia Wright-Frierson will also be in attendance to discuss her illustrations for the book.   There will also be costumed storytellers and a living history reactor in addition to kid friendly activities with pirate costumes encouraged.
