Marketing
Mark McGrew joined the Wilmington and Beaches CVB in October as the team's first-ever Community Engagement Manager. In this role, Mark will spearhead the community engagement strategy, creating a stronger link between the WBCVB with local businesses, organizations and residents. This role is a part of a larger strategy with the WBCVB to demonstrate how essential the tourism economy is to our community while working hand-in-hand with our neighbors and community leaders to drive economic activity through visitors. Mark brings to this role years of relationship building experience as the Director of Development with ACCESS of Wilmington and as a Consultant and Data Analyst for the Winkler Group prior to that. Mark's drive for deeper connections within the community and telling the story of the impact of the hospitality industry on the livelihood of our locals is sure to bring incredible value to the team and to the entire community. Mark is thrilled to join the Wilmington and Beaches CVB as the organization’s Community Engagement Manager. He is looking forward to working alongside the dedicated CVB team to strengthen community connections, build meaningful relationships, and help showcase the positive impact tourism brings to our region.
Keaton Potts is the new Content Marketing Manager for the Wilmington and Beaches CVB who was hired in July to execute the destination’s day-to-day social media content strategies across platforms through engaging and purposeful content. A Wilmington native, Keaton enjoys telling meaningful stories that connect with audiences across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and interests. Keaton’s past role as a social media strategist and marketing professional for a digital marketing agency provided experience in social media content creation, communications, community management, brand campaigns, blog creation and website copywriting. In his free time, Keaton enjoys running around with his three children, playing the banjo, driving RC cars that go over sixty miles per hour, and doing anything outdoors in and around Wilmington and its island beaches.
