Some local breweries serve food, others regularly host local food trucks. Check out our full listings of area breweries for all the sudsy info.

Bill's Front Porch

A local pub and brewery in the Wilmington area, Bill’s Front Porch, has 13 beers on tap as well as guest taps featuring beers from other local breweries. Specialty drinks are also served with a twist, including Bill’s version of a Bloody Mary, garnished with local seafood and hushpuppies and served with a splash of stout. Bill’s is also serving a variety of pub food, seafood and southern fried chicken.

Broomtail Craft Brewery

Born out of a love of science and the art of creating a great craft beer, Broomtail Craft Brewery offers a variety of flagship and local brews including a signature Moe brown ale. The brewery's goal is to bring together a community of craft beer enthusiasts that appreciate the art of great beer. Broomtail also offers brewing tours as well as entertainment.

Edward Teach Brewing

The perfect place for pirates and pints. Located in the hip Brooklyn Arts District, this brewery serves ales and lagers in its 100-year-old firehouse building. The first floor bar is shaped like a ship and the upstairs level resembles a tall ship's rigging.

Flying Machine Brewing Company

Wilmington's newest and largest brewery recently opened its doors, debuting their wide-selection of craft beer. The 16,600-square-foot facility features a 10,000 square-foot production area, taproom, two-story outside patio and an inside and outside bar. On the weekends, enjoy live music and food trucks on-site.

Flytrap Brewing

Named after the Venus flytrap whose native habitat is within a 60-mile radius of Wilmington, Flytrap Brewing offers a unique brewery experience.  Located in downtown Wilmington, the brewery offers a large selection of beer to choose from, serving signature brews as well as five rotating guest taps. One of the Flytrap's most popular signature ales is the Rehder's Red Ale, named after Stanley Rehder, a local horticulturist with a special interest in the Venus flytrap. The brewery also showcases local art, hosts art openings and offers weekly entertainment and specials. 

Front Street Brewery 

Located downtown, Front Street Brewery is Wilmington's original restaurant and brewery. The brewery offers daily tours led by the head brewer and assistant brewer that teach the brewing process and offers samples of seasonal brews and flagship brews including Coastal Kolsch and Riptide Raspberry Wheat. Front Street Brewery was named one of the Top 20 Bourbon Bars in the South by The Bourbon Review and holds over 400 whiskeys on their shelf, 176 of which are bourbons. Tours take place each day from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. and private tours and tastings are available as well. Front Street Brewery also offers an extensive menu featuring over 25 gourmet sandwiches and over 35 entrees.

Good Hops Brewing

Carolina Beach's signature brew spot, Good Hops Brewing, features a variety of local brews as well as free tastings and tours. Good Hops brews daily on a three barrel system producing English-style “session” ales. With eight taps, they rotate through two dozen recipes, continually offering new beers and keeping their flagship beers available year round.

Ironclad Brewery 

Ironclad Brewery is located in a 90-year old historic building in downtown Wilmington featuring original brick work and architecture.  Offering signature beers as well as other local brews, the brewery focuses on being community-oriented and socially responsible. The brewery also features entertainment including live music.

Mad Mole Brewing

Mad Mole Brewing's is Wilmington's first solar powered brewery. The focus at Mad Mole is on Belgians and IPA's but they feature a mix of other styles, with up to 12 beers on tap at a time.Their family- and dog-friendly location in Midtown is in a brewing hot-spot, just down the street from both Wrightsville Beach Brewery and Waterman's Brewing Company. Their brewing system is visible from the taproom, which opens onto a spacious, covered beer garden patio.

New Anthem Beer Project

A brewery and taproom in Historic Wilmington located in an early 20th century stables turned brewery. New Anthem Beer Project brews unique and fresh takes on hop forward and innovative Belgian beers while respecting the process, ingredients and flavors of the classics.

Skytown Beer + BBQ

Skytown Beer + BBQ aims to brew beer that perfectly complements their array of menu items like deep fried sausage gravy battered in biscuit breading, Texas style brisket sandwich and St. Louis style spare ribs. With a five-barrel brewing system, the small brewhaus showcases their own concoctions alongside local beers on draught including Wrightsville Beach Brewery, New Anthem, Wilmington Brewing Company and more. The brews and barbeque wonderland is owned by husband and wife duo Chef Stephen Durley and beer sommelier Hayley Jensen. Skytown beers can be enjoyed on tap or at its sister restaurant, Beer Barrio.

The Sour Barn

The Sour Barn is a division of Broomtail Craft Brewery in Wilmington. Find all the clean beers brewed by nearby Broomtail along with the namesake sours that are barrel aged at this location. 

Waterline Brewing Company

Bring your friends and enjoy the Waterline Brewing Co. brewery and taproom, located just under the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge! This 1930's-1940's preserved original structure gives the atmosphere a rustic and historic feel while you enjoy your locally crafted beer. Waterline even offers tours where the staff outlines not only the brewing process but the historical aspects of the renovated building.

Waterman's Brewing Company

A tribute to all who make life on or in the ocean, Waterman's Brewing Company serves craft brews, ciders, wine and a menu of seafood selections and pub favorites in a coastal lifestyle atmosphere.

Wilmington Brewing Company 

Wilmington Brewing Company is a unique spot where you can drink beer, make beer and see the brewing process all in one place. Featuring some of the best IPAs around, the brewery prides itself in serving fresh local beers straight from the tank to your glass.

Wrightsville Beach Brewery

In a sea of local breweries, Wrightsville Beach Brewery seeks to offer a unique and local touch. In addition to a full bar with 40 tap lines including an oyster stout, IPA and pilsner, the brewery serves brunch, lunch and dinner, and features locally caught seafood. A local charity is featured each month and 11 percent of the proceeds of the "Beer of the Month" are donated to that charity.
