Wilmington, N.C. - June 18, 2025: During the months of June and July travel industry partners in Wilmington and its Island Beaches will welcome attendees for three major conferences. The 2025 North Carolina Pupil Transportation Association [NCPTA] Transposium is expected to bring in nearly 800 attendees for its conference on June 22-25. In July, the 2025 NC Association for Public Charter Schools Annual Meeting, to be held July 12-16, will host an estimated 600 attendees, followed by the 2025 NC Government Finance Officers Association Summer Conference on July 20-23 that will bring approximately 400 attendees to Wilmington. All three events will take place at the Wilmington Convention Center with participants and guests staying at a variety of hotels throughout the area.
The 69th Annual North Carolina Pupil Transportation Association (NCPTA) Transposium (June 22-25) will feature training sessions, a tradeshow, competitions and opportunities for attendees to network with colleagues from across the state. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see and try new products from their industry throughout the conference. With a purpose to bring together those who are interested in the betterment of public school transportation in North Carolina, NCTPA is also committed to incorporating higher standards in the operation and maintenance of school transportation and to aid in securing and maintaining professional improvements of its members. This year’s conference, themed “Carolina Strong,” promises to inspire industry professionals, leaders and innovators to come together and share ideas for the future of the organization.
The 2025 N.C. Association for Public Charter Schools Annual Meeting (July 12-16) will feature keynote addresses from nationally renowned educator Ron Clark, founder of the Ron Clark Academy, and Amanda Bickerstaff, co-founder and CEO of AI for Education, who will explore the future of technology in the classroom. Meeting attendees will engage in educational breakout sessions tailored to empower charter school leaders, teachers and advocates with tools for student achievement and school growth. The event will conclude with an Award Celebration luncheon and closing panel discussion. The N.C. Association for Public Charter Schools' mission is to advance quality educational opportunities for all North Carolina children by supporting and expanding successful charter schools.
The following week, the 2025 N.C. Government Finance Officers Association Summer Conference (July 20-23) will bring industry peers together to collaborate and exchange ideas. Beginning with a welcome reception and a sunset boat cruise along the Cape Fear River on Sunday evening, conference attendees will spend the following two days experiencing educational sessions, keynote speakers as well as many networking opportunities. Conference attendees will have an additional opportunity to experience a sunset boat cruise Monday evening or explore downtown Wilmington.
