  • One of North Carolina’s most spectacular examples of antebellum architecture, tour the exquisitely restored 10,000-square-foot house and re-created grounds boasting one of the few preserved urban slave quarters in the country. Originally built in 1861 as a prominent family’s residence, this museum now features changing exhibits. Start with a short film, and then either take a docent-led or self-guided tour for your mobile device. HOURS: Tours are on the hour: Tues-Sat: 10am-5pm, Sun: 1pm-4pm ADMISSION: Adults: $12 Senior/Military: $10 Students: $6 Children Under 5: Free Prices and hours are subject to change without notice.
