Cape Fear Academy is a local school situated on 27 acres of land. Recent multi-million dollar facilities expansion and improvements have included a new athletic complex with a synthetic turf field, as well as a new gymnasium and additional classrooms. The main gym has maple floors and holds 1000 spectators. The practice gym holds 150. There are two additional soccer/lacrosse fields as well as 6 tennis courts.
