  • The Latimer House, built in 1852, is currently a showcase of upper-class life in Victorian Wilmington. Over 600 historic objects (including furniture, jewelry, ephemera, tableware, tools) can be viewed on guided tours in 14 rooms, allowing you to step back in time to a more elegant era. This home has a small gift shop, and has housed the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society since 1963. It is also the starting place of the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society Select Saturday Walking Tours-- please call for specific dates and times.

      Tour all three Historic homes (Bellamy/Latimer/Burgwin-Wright) by purchasing a “Three House Passport” at any of the houses—this Passport is valid for one week and allows you to visit all three historic homes for one low price of $30.
