  • The Latimer House, built in 1852, is currently a showcase of upper-class life in Victorian Wilmington. Over 600 historic objects (including furniture, jewelry, ephemera, tableware, tools) can be viewed in 14 rooms, allowing you to step back in time to a more elegant era. This home has housed the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society since 1963, and is the starting place of the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society 2nd and 4th Saturdays Walking Tour departing at 12pm.

      ** Private tours can be arranged with at least 24 Hour Advance Notice**

      Tour all three Historic homes (Bellamy/Latimer/Burgwin-Wright) by purchasing a “Three House Passport” at any of the houses—this Passport is valid for one week and allows you to visit all three historic homes for one low price of $30.
