  • Located 20 miles from Wilmington, NC, this site of the first Patriot victory that turned rebellion to Revolution and ended British authority over NC features a Visitors Center & Gift Shop with exhibits and video, walking trails, and picnic areas. Stroll past cannons and militia earthworks, walk on the re-constructed bridge and explore the boardwalk over the wide creek. The Park boasts the beginning of the Gullah Geechee Trail containing the last remaining segment of the road leading south. Experience the exciting Annual Anniversary Living History Weekend the last full weekend in February, Fall Living History Weekends, and Docent-lead Candlelight Battlefield Tours in November.
