Charting the Course for the
Area’s First-ever Tourism Master Plan

After a groundbreaking collaborative effort with tourism stakeholders and area residents, we are excited to launch the full Destination on the RISE plan, the area’s first-ever Tourism Master Plan.

  • What the Plan Does: Align tourism direction and visitor experience development with community and tourism partners’ opportunities and needs. 
  • Why It Matters: This plan charts the path of area tourism over the next 10 years and is designed to benefit tourism businesses, residents, the local economy and visitors.
  • Who Is Involved: Wilmington & Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau, working alongside New Hanover County and the communities of Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Wrightsville Beach.
